Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad
- Overnight: 3/4 Star Hotel
- Activity: Gear check, briefing, and optional city tour if time permits.
Day 2: The Karakoram Highway (Islamabad to Chilas)
- Drive: 480km (12–13 Hours).
- Details: An early start for an adventurous drive on the legendary Karakoram Highway (KKH), connecting Pakistan to China. We traverse the historical landscape of Taxila, the hill stations of Abbottabad and Mansehra, and the lush towns of Besham and Dassu. The journey culminates at Chilas, the gateway to the Diamir District.
- Overnight: Hotel in Chilas.
Day 3: Jeep Safari & Trek to Diamoroi Sier
- Drive: Chilas to Bunar Das -> Halaly Bridge (2 Hours).
- Trek: Halaly Bridge to Diamir Ser (Diamoroi) (5 Hours).
- Details: We leave the KKH and switch to 4×4 jeeps for the rugged drive to Halaly Bridge. Here, the trek begins. We hike for approximately 5 hours to reach Diamir Ser, a summer settlement for local shepherds.
- Overnight: Full-Service Camping.
Day 4: Trek to Diamir Base Camp (4,100m)
- Trek: Diamir Ser to Kutagali -> Base Camp (5 Hours).
- Details: A steep climb alongside the river. The trail winds through birch woods and beneath imposing rock faces. We break for lunch at Kutagali (3,500m), the last shepherd settlement. The final push takes us up the valley to establish Diamir Base Camp at 4,100 meters. This will be your command center for the next month.
- Overnight: Base Camp.
Days 5 – 35: Climbing Period & Acclimatization
- Objective: Summit Nanga Parbat (8,126m).
- Strategy:
- Rotations: We utilize a 40-day window for rotations to Camps 1, 2, and 3 to acclimatize and stock supplies.
- The Route: Focus on the Kinshofer Route (Standard), navigating the Kinshofer Wall and the upper traverse.
- Support: Our base camp staff remains on standby 24/7 to manage communications, AI-driven weather updates, and medical support while you focus on the climb.
Day 36: Base Camp Teardown & Trek Down
- Activity: Return to Diamir Ser.
- Details: After the expedition concludes, we clean the mountain, pack up logistics, and trek back down to the lower camp at Diamir Ser.
- Overnight: Camping.
Day 37: Return to Civilization
- Activity: Trek to Bunar Das & Drive to Chilas.
- Details: We hike back to the jeep point at Halaly Bridge/Bunar Das, then drive back to the KKH, checking into our hotel in Chilas for a hot shower and a proper bed.
- Overnight: Hotel in Chilas.
Day 38: Drive to Islamabad
- Activity: 12-hour Drive.
- Details: We complete the return journey along the Karakoram Highway to Islamabad.
- Overnight: Hotel in Islamabad.
Day 39: Official De-Briefing
- Activity: Alpine Club Farewell.
- Details: A mandatory Farewell Meeting at the Alpine Club of Pakistan to officially close the expedition permit. The rest of the day is free for packing or exploring the capital.
- Overnight: Hotel in Islamabad.
Day 40: International Departure
- Activity: Fly Home.
- Details: Transfer to Islamabad International Airport for your homebound flight. End of the expedition.

What Is Included in the Expedition Cost
Our 40-day Nanga Parbat Expedition package provides full logistical support, staffing, and accommodations from your arrival in Islamabad up to Base Camp.
Travel, Transfers & Accommodation
Airport Transfers: Pick-up and drop-off between Islamabad International Airport and your hotel.
Islamabad Hotel: Two nights of accommodation in a standard room with breakfast included.
Chilas Lodging: Three nights at the Shangri-La Hotel in Chilas on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Welcome Dinner: One official welcome dinner at a tourist-standard restaurant in Islamabad.
Permits, Fees & Administration
Permit Assistance: Full assistance in obtaining your climbing permit and necessary documentation.
Government Fees: All climbing permit fees and environmental/pollution fees.
Official Briefings: Arrangements for the Alpine Club meeting, including the official briefing and debriefing at the Ministry of Tourism.
Camping & Road Taxes: All necessary camping fees and road taxes for expedition members and porters.
Summit Certificate: An official Nanga Parbat certificate issued by the Pakistan Alpine Club (upon successful summit).
Transportation & Luggage Logistics
Overland Transport: Full transportation for members and expedition luggage from Islamabad to Chilas, and back.
Jeep & Porter Transport: Jeep transport from Chilas to Halale, followed by porter/mule transport to Base Camp (and the reverse on the return journey).
Generous Luggage Allowance: Transportation of personal baggage up to 75 kg on the trek in, and 50 kg on the return trek.
Cargo Assistance: Help with cargo clearance and storage (customs clearing agent fees not included).
Base Camp Facilities & Food
Full-Board Meals: All meals provided during the trek and while stationed at Base Camp.

Above Base Camp & Climbing Gear
High-Altitude Support: Our services cover logistics strictly up to Base Camp. High Altitude Porters (HAPs) and above-base-camp services are not included.
Climbing Gear: All technical climbing equipment, rucksacks, sleeping bags, and personal high-altitude clothing.
Personal Expenses & City Meals
City Meals: Lunches and dinners while staying in Islamabad and Chilas.
Personal Items: Laundry charges, room service, beverages, and other items of a personal nature.
Communications: Personal phone and communication bills (e.g., satellite phone usage).
Emergency, Insurance & Customs
Rescue Deposit: A mandatory $15,000 USD deposit for helicopter rescue.
Evacuation & Medical: Any ground evacuation, helicopter rescue charges, or medication costs.
Insurance: Personal travel, medical, and climbing liability insurance for members.
